A screening examination enables the practitioner to decide whether treatment with inductive physiotherapy is appropriate.
This screening takes between 60 and 90 minutes and always includes a morphological examination. The goal is to screen for baseline postural alterations, which provide information about any underlying tone disorders.
The patient should wear close-fitting underwear (no boxer shorts, shorts or vests) so that baggy clothing does not mask body features. For the same reason, the underwear should be of a light, uniform colour. Patients should also be asked to refrain from applying cosmetic products before the screening examination and before any subsequent treatment sessions (primarily so that the practitioner is not exposed to allergens).
